Entry requirements
- You must be a registered nurse or allied health professional, working in an aesthetics role
- You should have a first degree or be able to demonstrate evidence of successful prior learning at degree level (SCQF Level 9)
- Evidence of your current NMC or HCPC registration should be submitted on application
CPD Award
You will study the following subjects on this module:
- Addressing difficult topics, red flags, and body dysmorphia
- Anatomy and physiology of the face
- Best practices in prescribing
- Cancer identification
- Clinical consultation, assessment, and consent process
- Diagnosis and treatment of common skin conditions
- Health and safety, patient safety, and safeguarding
- Informed consent and ethical considerations
- The inflammatory process
How will I study my course?
- Part-time
- You will study fully online with scheduled sessions and tutorials. Some sessions are recorded and can be accessed online at any point from anywhere in the UK after the scheduled class
- Online study will be done via the university's virtual learning environment (VLE), with support from your tutors
- You will have the option to take part in an online induction in January
How long will my course last?
- Part-time: 10 weeks @ 10 hours per week
